What are some forms of creative writing?

Well you have poetry, plays, scripts, fiction, songs, memoirs, and so much more. What is your favorite? Mine is writing fiction. I enjoy making up brand new worlds. Some seem like perfect places, some you wouldn’t want to immerse yourself in for long. Thinking up new characters, new places, and having that all be ANYTHING you want is really empowering.

You want a story about a little redheaded girl with a dog named Benji? Done. Maybe we can throw a dragon in? Done. What about adding a hurricane? Done. And with that, you have the makings of a story.

I just love how the possibilities are endless. I love how anything in your life can inspire a story, or a song, or a play. I love that it challenges your imagination. What do you love about writing? Take two days this week to challenge yourself to write. You can write a sentence, perhaps you feel a story that needs to come out.
