Introduction

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. That’s how Creatination was born: My desire to write, having a need to be imaginative, and let’s be honest, 2020. Haha.

Hi! My name is Kelly. I’m a stay at home wife and homeschooling mom of two. My family and I dream about a vacation somewhere cold and snowy after our summer in hot, stifling Phoenix! We spend a lot of our time reading, doing arts and crafts, and just being creative!

When the beginning of this year went down the way it did (Thanks Corona!), I purchased a lot of writing prompt books from a local book store for personal use and for schooling purposes for my oldest. I loved the idea that a lot of them had one new prompt per day for a year. Going through all of the prompts made me wonder what other people were writing about though. Are they more introspective? More creative? Did they turn their prompts into stories? I wanted to know!

I had the idea for an online writing prompt website for kids and adults. Since the website is so new, we are just doing the prompts weekly but as things progress, I thought it would be fun to have a submissions page where you can read what other people are writing, maybe you’d turn your stories into books, or specific lines could get turned into t shirts or coffee mugs, etc. This will be such a fun work in progress to follow along with! I hope you stay tuned for all that’s to come and hope you participate in our weekly writing prompts!!!
