Ghost Hunting

It’s October and your local paranormal investigation team is doing one night of tours at a local haunted location. They only do it this one time per year and this year you really want to go! Ticket in hand, walking shoes on, and a shiver of anticipation runs down your spine. You’ve always wanted to investigate here. It’s a village of buildings that have been moved in from all over the state. An opera house, a school, jail, a church, a couple of homes and so much more. The leaves from the tree’s crackle beneath your feet as you walk towards your first destination: the opera house. Your sweaty hand nervously grasps your digital recorder and flashlight. Tonight’s the night. You just know it. Tonight, you’ll see your first ghost. The door to the opera house creaks shut behind you. The room is nothing but black and the only light you see is what’s coming from underneath the front door. Footsteps and heavy breathing come towards you. To your right, a loud noise bangs. You think this is more than you bargained. The hairs raise on the back of your neck. Your feet start shuffling backward of their own accord leading you to the door. Your hand reaches blindly for the doorknob but wait! It won’t turn. The footsteps shuffle closer and closer. An inhuman wail fills the room. Is that you making that noise? What happens next? Who’s in the room with you?
